Bacarra website about to become a millionaire
Feb. 4 - The official website of the Municipality of Bacarra in Ilocos Norte (
http://bacarra.gov.ph or
http://www.bacarra.gov.ph) formally bowed to the public last May 8, 2008.
Almost nine months later, the website already has more than 900,000
hits or not less than 3,000 daily hits--not bad for a newbie.
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) under the
Office of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is one of our biggest links
to the outside world. It continues to provide us financial assistance
for our various ecotourism development projects. Among them are the
Php130,000 funding for the Bac-Bacarra Dance Parade last November 30,
2008 and the Php2-million for the rehabilitation and enhancement of the
Saint Andrew Church and its facilities. It has also committed to help
develop the Corocor-Cabulalaan (CO-CA) Creek into a potential tourist
destination.
